AIADMK Candidates List For April 19 Lok Sabha 2024

The opposition AIADMK in Tamil Nadu on Wednesday named the first set of 16 candidates for the April 19 Lok Sabha polls in Tamil Nadu.

In the list released by party General Secretary Edappadi K Palaniswami, the AIADMK has nominated former MP J Jayavardhan and ex-MLA, Dr P Saravanan.

Others include various senior office-bearers of the party.

Palaniswami, while announcing the allocation of constituencies, stated that the DMDK has been allotted five seats, while Puthiya Tamilagam and SDPI have been given one seat each.

"In the AIADMK alliance, DMDMK will contest in 5 seats, SDPI in 1 seat, and Puthiya Tamilagam in 1 seat, specifically from the Tenkasi constituency. We are confident in our strength and believe that the people will support us. We are unfazed by social media chatter. Our alliance is with the people," he said, as reported by ANI.

Elections to 39 Lok Sabha seats in the state will be held on April 19.
