'280 people died of shock after Amma's demise,' claims AIADMK
Going one step ahead, the party has also announced compensation of Rs 3 lakh to the family of each deceased.
The All India Anna Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam on Saturday calimed that 280 had died of shock hearing of Jayalalithaa's illness and eventul death. The party had earlier released a list containing 77 names of people who reportedly died following Jayalalithaa'a death.

Going one step ahead, the party has also announced compensation of Rs 3 lakh to the family of each deceased. Although party spokesperson Ponnaiyan claimed that 208 people had died following Jayalalithaa's ill-health and death, the AIADMK put out 280 as the figure. This figure, the party claimed, added the previously released 77 names to the list.
