Chennai and Madurai Gold Price Today: Tamil Nadu's gold market remained steady on Friday, 10 April 2026, with prices holding firm across all purities as of the latest update at 11:15 AM (India Time). The stability comes amid consistent demand from both investors and jewellery buyers, particularly as the wedding season continues to support retail activity across the state.

According to the latest data on Bullions website, 24 karat gold-the purest form-was priced at ₹15,325 per gram, translating to ₹153,250 for 10 grams and ₹1,532,500 for 100 grams in Chennai and Madurai. On a larger scale, one kilogram of 24 karat gold stood at ₹15,325,000, while one ounce was valued at ₹434,456.

Meanwhile, 22 karat gold, widely used for jewellery, was recorded at ₹14,048 per gram and ₹140,479 per 10 grams. This category continues to see the highest demand in Tamil Nadu due to its balance between purity and durability, making it ideal for traditional ornaments.

Other gold categories also reflected similar stability.
