LPG Price Hike: 19-kg Commercial Gas Cylinder Price Hiked By Rs 21, Effective From Today
The recently concluded elections in five states have triggered a surge in LPG cylinder prices, effective immediately. The prices for 19 kg commercial gas cylinders have surged by Rs 21 per cylinder. Commencing from December 1, 2023, the cost of a commercial gas cylinder in Delhi will be Rs 1796.50, compared to Rs 1775.50 the previous month.
However, domestic LPG cylinder prices have remained unchanged. Both the prices of 14.2 kg domestic LPG cylinders and the rates for gas cylinders have shown no significant alterations.

Here's the updated pricing in different cities:
- Delhi: Rs 1796.50
- Kolkata: Rs 1908.00
- Mumbai: Rs 1749.00
- Chennai: Rs 1968.50
Last month, there was a rise of Rs 101.50 in LPG cylinder prices, marking Rs 1731.50 on October 1 and escalating to Rs 1833 per cylinder on November 1. However, there was a subsequent decrease of Rs 57.05 on November 16, eventually settling at Rs 1775.50.
Impact of ATF price reduction
Oil marketing companies have reduced the rates of Aviation Turbine Fuel (ATF) effective December 1. National aviation organizations will now incur charges of Rs 1,06,155.67 in Delhi, Rs 1,44,639.70 in Kolkata, Rs 99,223.44 in Mumbai, and Rs 1,09,966.39 per kiloliter in Chennai. This decrease in airfare could lead to increased domestic air travel.
