Gold and silver prices remained volatile on Tuesday, mirroring shifts in global risk sentiment following a major breakthrough in US-China trade negotiations and easing geopolitical tensions.
On the Multi Commodity Exchange (MCX), gold futures for June delivery inched up by a marginal 0.01 per cent, or ₹9, settling at ₹93,011 per 10 grams. Silver futures for May delivery, however, saw a sharper rise, gaining 1.15 per cent, or ₹1,093, to close at ₹96,500 per kilogram.

Despite the minor gains on the MCX, gold continued to trade near its lowest level in more than a week on international markets. Spot gold was steady at $3,230.99 an ounce at 0309 GMT, following a steep 2.7 per cent decline in the previous session. US gold futures edged up to $3,235.20.
