Who Is Prajwal Revanna, BJP-JDS Lok Sabha Elections 2024 Candidate From Hassan, Accused Of Being In Sex Tapes

The battle of Lok Sabha Elections 2024 is intensifying day by day. Ahead of the third phase of polling to elect the 18th Lok Sabha, the war of words between BJP and INDIA bloc leaders took a new twist after Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah ordered to lodge an FIR and a special team investigation against sitting MP and BJP-JDS candidate from Hassan Prajwal Revanna, who is accused of being in sex videos. According to the reports, these obscene videos showcasing the JDS MP have been circulated in the state and it looks like he sexually assaulted some women.

However, Prajwal Revanna has also lodged a police complaint calling viral videos doctored. He also stated that such stunts are being done by the opposition to tarnish his image ahead of the crucial elections.

Who is Prajwal Revanna?

Sitting MP from Karnataka's Hassan constituency, Prajwal Revanna hails from a popular and powerful political family. He is the son of HD Revanna and grandson to former Prime Minister and Janata Dal (Secular) founder HD Deve Gowda. Prajwal Revanna is also the nephew of HD Kumaraswamy, former Karnataka chief minister.

Prajwal Revanna made the headlines this week after sexual assault allegations were leveled against him on the basis of some videos doing round the internet. The 33-year-old was famous among the youth of the state and one of the prominent faces of JDS.

Prajwal Revanna attained his education from the Bengaluru Institute of Technology (BIT).

According to the reports, Prajwal left for Germany on Saturday and now opposition leaders are calling that he has fled the country.

Taking cognizance of the matter, the state Women's Commission's chairperson, Dr Nagalakshmi Chaudhary, wrote a letter to the chief minister and state police chief Alok Mohan, requesting a fast-track investigation into the sensitive matter.
