When Spandana Vijay Raghavendra Stepped Into The Political Arena
Spandana Vijay Raghavendra was not very active in politics, but she made a brief foray into the political arena in 2023 when she campaigned for her brother Rakshit Shivaramegowda in the recently held Karnataka Assembly elections. Rakshit was contesting from the Beltangadi constituency, and Spandana helped him to campaign in several villages in the area.
Spandana's father, B K Shivaram, is a retired police officer and a well-known Congress leader in Karnataka. Her uncle, BK Hariprasad, is also a Congress leader and a former central secretary. So, it is not surprising that Spandana has some political connections.

However, Spandana herself has never held any political office. She is also a mother of two children.
In 2023, Spandana decided to step out of her comfort zone and campaigned for her brother. She did this because she believed in his vision for Belthangady constituency. Rakshit is a young and dynamic leader, and Spandana wanted to help him to bring about positive change in the constituency.
Spandana's campaign was successful in raising awareness of Rakshit's policies. She also helped to mobilise voters and get them to the polls. However, Rakshit lost the election, but Spandana's campaign was still considered to be a success.
Spandana's foray into politics was short-lived, but it showed that she was a capable and dedicated campaigner.
