Weather Alert: Bengaluru, Tumakuru And More Districts To See High Temperatures In April, Check Latest Forecast
The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a heatwave alert for several districts in Karnataka for the month of April 2024. The alert predicts above-normal heatwave conditions, with positive anomalies ranging from 2 to 5 days in duration.
According to the IMD, most parts of North Interior Karnataka (NIK) districts and select districts from the South Interior Karnataka (SIK) region are expected to experience these above-normal heatwave days. The affected districts include Chitradurga, Davanagere, Tumakuru, Chikkaballapura, Kolar, Bengaluru Urban, and Bengaluru Rural.

The heatwave alert comes at a time when Karnataka including Bengaluru is already grappling with a severe water crisis. The scarcity of water has added to the challenges faced by residents, especially in Bengaluru urban areas where water supply is already limited.
