The incident unfolded at Varthur on Whitefield-Sarjapura Road as Ashok, an IT employee hailing from Ottapalam, Palakkad, was travelling with two friends towards their Sarjapura residence. Approaching an intersection, their car was deliberately blocked by four individuals on a bike and a scooter. Despite multiple horn signals, the bikers refused to yield.
To the passengers' astonishment, the bikers not only halted their vehicle in the middle of the road but also initiated an attack on the car occupants. In an attempt to escape, Ashok reversed and headed in the opposite direction, only to find the bikers relentlessly chasing them. Even as he aimed to reach a friend's apartment, the bikers intercepted the car, assaulting Ashok and his companions while shattering the car windows.
