Vande Bharat Express for Karnataka: Check Belagavi-Bengaluru Route, Timings, and Cities Covered

The long-awaited Vande Bharat Express train between Belagavi and Bengaluru will finally become a reality as Prime Minister Narendra Modi is set to flag off the service on August 10 (Sunday) during his Karnataka visit.

The announcement was made by Union Minister Pralhad Joshi, who took to X (formerly Twitter) on Tuesday to confirm that three new Vande Bharat trains will be inaugurated by PM Modi this weekend, including:

• Bengaluru-Belagavi Vande Bharat Express
• Ajni (Nagpur)-Pune Vande Bharat Express
• Amritsar-Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Katra Vande Bharat Express

Union Minister Joshi shared that the Vande Bharat Express will operate daily with the following schedule:

Belagavi to Bengaluru: Departs at 5:20 AM, arrives at 1:50 PM

Bengaluru to Belagavi: Departs at 2:20 PM, arrives at 10:40 PM

The train will enhance fast rail connectivity between major Karnataka cities such as:

• Belagavi
• Hubballi
• Dharwad
• Haveri
• Davanagere
• Tumakuru
• Bengaluru

Union Minister Joshi expressed his gratitude to Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw and Minister of State for Railways V. Somanna, stating that the approval came following persistent requests for better connectivity in Karnataka.

"This will enhance connectivity between Bengaluru, Tumakuru, Davanagere, Haveri, Hubballi, Dharwad, and Belagavi. Heartfelt gratitude to Union Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw and MoS Railways V Somanna," Joshi posted.

The Belagavi-Bengaluru Vande Bharat Express is set to redefine train travel for commuters in Karnataka, reducing travel time, improving comfort, and strengthening economic ties between the northern and southern parts of the state. The launch ahead of Independence Day 2025 adds to the government's push for rapid infrastructure development and better inter-city mobility.
