Two Inmates Request Transfer, Cite 'Pressure and Fear' in Cell Shared With Darshan

Fresh claims have surfaced inside Bengaluru's Parappana Agrahara Central Prison involving Kannada actor Darshan, who is currently lodged there as an accused in the Renukaswamy murder case. According to information circulating within jail circles, two inmates have alleged that they feel unsafe sharing a cell with the actor and have sought to be moved to another facility. Jail authorities have not officially confirmed these allegations.

Inmates Seek Transfer, Cite Safety Concerns

Inmates identified as Anukumar and Jagadish reportedly submitted a written request seeking relocation, stating that remaining in the same barrack as Darshan and co-accused Nagaraj was "unsafe" for them.
According to sources familiar with the development, the inmates claimed in their application that they had faced "mental and physical harassment."

However, the transfer request was reportedly declined by prison officials. No official explanation has been issued publicly by the jail administration, nor has any confirmation been made regarding the contents of the inmate complaints.

Unverified Reports of Tension Inside the Cell

Some media reports have suggested that a heated exchange allegedly occurred inside the cell a few days ago. According to these accounts, Darshan is said to have woken up fellow inmates abruptly and spoken to them in harsh language. These descriptions have not been independently verified by authorities.

Prison staff reportedly intervened to calm the situation, but unverified claims indicate that tensions may have continued thereafter. Jail officials have not publicly commented on whether such an incident took place.

Questions Raised Over Jail Rule Compliance

Individuals familiar with the situation have suggested that there is discontent among a few inmates regarding adherence to routine jail responsibilities such as cleaning the cell or washing clothes. These claims, again, remain allegations made by inmates and have not been confirmed by the prison administration.
