Tumkur Police Scandal DySP Faces Fresh Allegations As Second Woman Files Complaint

First Complaint Filed Against DySP

The first complaint against DySP Ramachandrappa arose when a woman approached the Madhugiri police station seeking justice for a land dispute. Promising to assist her, the DySP reportedly asked the woman to visit his office for further inquiries. However, during one of these meetings, the officer allegedly coerced the woman under the guise of helping her with the case.

According to the victim, DySP Ramachandrappa manipulated her into submitting to his demands, culminating in a reported sexual assault in the restroom of his office.

Misconduct Caught on Camera

The officer's misconduct became public when video footage surfaced on social media. The video allegedly shows DySP Ramachandrappa forcefully leading the woman, further corroborating her claims. The footage has sparked outrage, casting a shadow over the integrity of law enforcement in the region.

Following the victim's complaint, the Madhugiri police registered an FIR under Sections 376 (rape) and 506 (criminal intimidation) of the Indian Penal Code (IPC), among other charges. Ramachandrappa was subsequently arrested and remains in judicial custody as the investigation progresses.

New Allegations Add to DySP's Troubles

In a recent turn of events, another woman has come forward with accusations against the officer. She has filed a complaint of sexual harassment and caste-based abuse, further highlighting the officer's alleged misconduct. The new case has been registered, and the Madhugiri police are investigating the matter.
