Passengers at Kempegowda International Airport (KIA) in Bengaluru voiced their frustration towards SpiceJet staff after their flight to Mumbai faced a 14-hour delay. Arguments ensued as passengers confronted the staff for the lack of alternative arrangements to reach their intended destination.

Chaos unfolded at gate number 15 of Bengaluru Airport, with approximately 250 passengers asked to deboard the plane due to a reported technical issue.

Initially scheduled for a 6 am departure, passengers boarded the flight only to spend over two hours onboard before being asked to deplane due to technical problems.

Upon returning to the boarding counter, SpiceJet staff informed passengers of a rescheduled departure at 12 pm. This timing shifted to 3 pm and now stands at 8:30 pm, as per a passenger awaiting the flight.

Amidst the ordeal, one passenger expressed urgency, needing to reach Mumbai before 3 pm for pressing matters.

Frustration mounted as passengers contested the unexplained delay and the lack of coherent updates from the airline staff.

A dismayed passenger recounted, "The SpiceJet flight from Bengaluru to Mumbai is a nightmare. Initially scheduled for 6 am, we received a message about a 20-minute advance. We arrived at the airport at 3:30 am, boarded on time, but after 2-2.5 hours, we were deboarded citing technical issues. The flight was rescheduled to noon, then 3:15 pm, and now 8:30 pm. There seems to be no one addressing our concerns."

SpiceJet has yet to release an official statement regarding the incident.
