Suchana Seth, Bengaluru CEO, Now Charged with Assaulting Cop Inside Goa Jail
Suchana Seth, the CEO of a Bengaluru-based AI startup who was arrested last year for murdering her 4-year-old son in a Goa hotel, has now been charged again, this time for allegedly assaulting a lady constable inside Goa's Central Jail, where she is currently lodged.
According to the police, the incident occurred on Monday in the women's block of the jail, where Suchana Seth allegedly took the inward register without permission. When the constable questioned her, Seth reportedly hurled abuses, kicked the officer, pulled her hair, and inflicted injuries, according to the FIR.

She has been booked under Section 121(1) (voluntarily causing hurt or grievous hurt to deter a public servant from duty) and Section 352 (intentional insult to provoke) of the Bharatiya Nyay Sanhita.
Seth has been in judicial custody since January after being arrested in Chitradurga, Karnataka.
What Is the Bengaluru CEO Suchana Seth Case All About?
On January 6, 2024, Suchana Seth checked into Hotel Sol Banyan Grande in Candolim, North Goa, with her son. She had booked the room until January 10; however, she cut short her stay and informed hotel staff on January 7 that she needed to return to Bengaluru due to urgent work.
Despite hotel staff suggesting she take a flight, Seth insisted on taxi travel. The next day, she left for Bengaluru, carrying a heavy suitcase that later became the focus of a horrifying discovery.
Back at the hotel, housekeepers found bloodstains in the room and alerted police. Seth's son was missing, and her explanation-that he was staying with a friend in Margao-was quickly disproved. The address she provided was fake.
Police then contacted the taxi driver transporting Seth and instructed him to head to the nearest police station. Upon inspection of her luggage, her son's body was found inside the suitcase.
Following the shocking discovery, Goa Police took over the investigation and arrested Seth. Investigators believe the murder was linked to a custody dispute with her estranged husband.
She was booked under IPC Sections 302 (murder), 201 (destruction of evidence), and Section 8 of the Goa Children's Act.
