‘She Used Me for Money’: Israeli Father’s Struggle to See Daughters After Gokarna Rescue

In a recent development, Israeli businessman Dror Goldstein has raised concerns about his inability to meet his two daughters. These children were discovered living in a cave in Karnataka with their mother, Russian national Nina Kutina. The family was found on July 11 in the Ramatirtha hills, and Goldstein has since voiced his struggle for joint custody.

Goldstein, who is also Kutina's partner, claims that despite his efforts to maintain contact, he has been kept away from his daughters. He alleges that Kutina has been avoiding him and even disappearing without notice. In a police complaint filed in Goa, he expressed his desire to be involved in his children's lives both financially and emotionally.

Custody Battle and Allegations

The couple's first daughter was born in Ukraine in June 2018, followed by their second daughter in Goa, India, in May 2020. According to Goldstein, he continued to support the family financially but began distancing himself due to alleged verbal abuse from Kutina. "I slowly started cutting off my contact with her due to her behaviour towards me," he stated.

Goldstein further claimed that when he attempted to assist Kutina and the children after the death of her son by booking them a hotel room in Panaji, she prevented him from meeting the girls. He also accused Kutina of influencing the children against him by instructing them to avoid him.

Visa Issues and Living Conditions

Kutina explained to authorities that she overstayed her business visa because of "complicated reasons." Her visa expired in 2017, after which she left for Nepal with an exit permit. She returned to India in 2018 and reportedly lived in Goa before relocating to Karnataka.

The family had been residing in the cave for approximately three weeks before being discovered. Goldstein expressed concern over their health and emotional well-being, stating they were isolated and not allowed to socialise outside a closed group.

"They are not allowed to socialise and are kept in a closed group… I want to be a part of my daughters' lives and provide for them financially and emotionally," Goldstein's complaint read as per Indian Express.
