Shameful Incident: DK Shivakumar On Alleged Sex Scandal Involving Hassan MP Prajwal Revanna
Calling the alleged sex scandal involving Hassan MP Prajwal Revanna a "shameful incident", Karnataka Deputy Chief Minister DK Shivakumar on Sunday said that the law will take its own course.
"I saw the reports in media that Prajwal has fled from the country...it is a shameful incident. He is a member of the Parliament and son of a former Prime Minister," DK Shivakumar said while speaking to reporters.

Prajwal is the grandson of JDS patriarch and former Prime Minister H D Deve Gowda. He was the NDA candidate in the Hassan Lok Sabha constituency, which went to polls on April 26.
The Karnataka government has decided to form a Special Investigation Team to probe the alleged sex scandal involving the Hassan MP.
"The government has decided to form a special investigation team in connection with Prajwal Revanna's obscene video case," Chief Minister Siddaramaiah said in a post on 'X' on late Saturday night. Obscene video clips are circulating in Hassan district, where it appears that women have been sexually assaulted, the chief minister said.
"In this background, the Chairperson of the Women's Commission (Dr Nagalakshmi Chowdhary) had written a letter to the government to conduct an SIT investigation. This decision has been taken in response to their request," Siddaramaiah said.
Congress General Secretary Randeep Surjewala has said that the guilty should get the harshest punishment and he demanded a response from Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Union Home Minister Amit Shah and other leaders.

Talking to reporters in Bengaluru, he said, "Prime Minister Narendra Modi is in Karnataka. He should answer. Amit Shah should answer so should BY Vijayendra, BS Yediyurappa, Ashok, and Prahlad Joshi."
Surjewala attacked the BJP for making hue and cry over the murder of Hubbali Congress councillor's daughter Neha Hiremanth recently. He assured that there would be a free and fair investigation into the issue. "All women will get justice," he added.
