Ram Mandir: Is There Holiday In Karnataka, Kerala & Other States On Jan 22? Check This List
Several states in India have given holidays on the occasion of Ram Mandir inauguration on Monday. Even the Centre has given half a day holiday for its employees across the nation.
While some states have given a full-day holiday, some have given a half-day holiday so that the people celebrate the occasion of the Ram Mandir consecration ceremony. Find out the states that have given holidays:

Full Day Holiday
Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has announced a holiday in all academic institutions across the state on January 22. "Considering the significance of the consecration ceremony of the eagerly awaited new idol of Shri Ram Lalla in Ayodhya Dham, the chief minister has declared a holiday in educational institutions on January 22," according to an official release.
The examinations scheduled for January 22 have been postponed.
Half Day Holiday
MP, Goa, Maharashtra, Odisha, Chhattisgarh and Tripura have given full-day holidays for educational institutions and government offices. Whereas Haryana, Rajasthan, Gujarat, Assam, and Delhi have given half-day holiday.
Is there a holiday in Karnataka?
Despite the opposition BJP exerting pressure on the government, the ruling Congress has not made any announcement on holiday, yet. In that case, none of the South states such as Tamil Nadu, Andhra, Telangana and Kerala have declared a public holiday.
It has to be noted that the BJP is not in power in any of these states.
The temple will be inaugurated a little after 12 pm on Monday by Prime Minister Narendra Modi. From industrialists to film stars, sportsmen to politicians, people from different fields will witness the event live in Ayodhya.
