Rain In Bengaluru! IMD Predicts Early Setting Of Pre-Monsoon; Mercury To Dip For Next A Few Days
Bangaloreans experienced showers on Tuesday evening that turned the weather into a pleasant one. The unexpected rain cheered everyone as the city has been experiencing water shortage for a long time, and now, they are expecting the groundwater level to go up.
According to the city reporter, areas like Koramangala, Baashankari, Kothnur, Ullal, Sunkadakatee, Vijay Nagar, Indira Nagar, and Jaya Nagar saw pleasant weather carrying speedy winds and showers.
It is said that rain happened over south-interior Karnataka because of early setting of pre-monsoon attributed to a prevailing upper-air cyclonic circulation over the northeast parts of Indian Ocean and southeast regions of Bay of Bengal.

Bengaluru IMD scientist CS Patil said, "Due to the emergence of this system off East Coast, there will be light to moderate southeasterlies prevailing over the state in the lower tropospheric levels."
Today's rain will surely help in regulating the rising mercury levels for next few days.
Patil also added that "Usually, pre-monsoon showers set over southern Karnataka towards the end of March. Unlike previous years, this year, we are likely to witness them in early March due to intense hot and dry weather conditions over the past month. After these thunderstorms, there will be moderate weather conditions."
