Power Cut in Bengaluru on July 30: BESCOM Issues Warning for These Areas

Bengaluru is set to face a six-hour power outage on Wednesday, July 30. The Bangalore Electricity Supply Company Limited (BESCOM) has announced that the disruption will occur from 11 AM to 5 PM. This planned outage is due to emergency maintenance at the Hebbal substation by Karnataka Power Transmission Corporation Limited (KPTCL).

Residents in affected areas are advised to prepare for this interruption. The power cut will impact several parts of north Bengaluru, including residential blocks and government quarters. BESCOM has not provided specific time slots for different zones, so residents should be ready for a complete six-hour shutdown.

Affected Areas in Bengaluru

The outage will affect a wide range of localities such as Ganganagar, Lakshmaiah Block, Weaver Colony, CBI Quarters, and RBI Colony. Other areas include CPU Block, DGQ Quarters, Muniramaiah Block, UAS Campus, Judges Colony, and 80 Feet Road. Additionally, Vishweshwar Block and Kariyanna Layout will also experience the power cut.

Further affected areas include Yogeshwar Nagar, Ring Road Kuvempu Layout, Netaji Nagar, Vinayak Layout 1st Phase, Muniswamy Gowda Apartment, Starling Garden Layout IVRI Ganganagar Market Alpine Apartment Jain Apartment. Some other localities likely to be impacted are C4 Sub-Divisional Office and Giddappa Block.

Additional Localities Facing Outage

Dinnoor Main Road and RT Nagar Punjab National Bank area are among the additional localities expected to face outages. Munanappa Colony HMT Block Chamundi Nagar Ex-Servicemen's Colony RT Nagar Police Station Area Ashwath Nagar Dollars Colony MLA Layout Ratan Apartment Gayatri Apartment Foodworld RT Nagar Nrupatunga Layout Krishnappa Block CBI Main Road Shantisagar Main Road Venugopal Layout are also on the list.

Power cuts during weekdays can significantly disrupt daily life in Bengaluru. Residents may face challenges with work meetings and classroom schedules being stalled. It is advisable for those living or working in these neighbourhoods to charge devices ahead of time and plan meals early.
