Oneindia journalist Shama Sundara selected for Karnataka media award

Bangalore, Feb 6: Chief Editor of Kannada portal of Oneindia News Shama Sundara SK has been selected for Karnataka Media Academy Award for the year 2013.

The award will be handed over to Shama Sundara SK at the Raj Bhavan in the second and third week of February in the presence of Karnataka Governor HR Bhardwaj, Chief Minister Siddaramaiah and ministers R Roshan Baig and Ramalinga Reddy.

The Karnataka Media Academy awards for the years 2012 and 2013 were announced by Media Academy president MA Ponappa. Apart from Shama Sundara SK, H S Balaram (Times of India) and Dr Satish U Pai (Manipal Media Network) are Karnataka Media Academy Awardees of 2012 and 2013. Shama Sundara is the only web journalist to have been chosen for this award.

The award consists of Rs 20,000 cash.
