Nandini Milk Finds A Spot In New Delhi's Luxury Hotel, Karnataka Man Shares Moment of Pride
Nandini dairy products from Karnataka have made their way to New Delhi, gaining attention after being spotted at a luxury hotel. The Karnataka Milk Federation's (KMF) Nandini brand is now available across the city, sparking interest and appreciation for this regional favourite.
A social media user, known as Bagalkote Huduga, shared an image on X showing Nandini milk being used in a five-star hotel in Delhi. The post read, "Saw nandini being used in a 5 star hotel in Delhi. Saw a CCD coffee machine on the side too. Kannada brands are going strong." This quickly went viral, highlighting Nandini's growing recognition beyond Karnataka.

Expanding Presence Across India
Nandini is broadening its reach across India, with products now available in states such as Telangana, Tamil Nadu, Andhra Pradesh, Kerala, and Maharashtra. Last year, the brand even ventured into international markets. Recently, Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah launched Nandini dairy products in New Delhi officially.
Previously, KMF conducted a trial by transporting dairy products from Karnataka to Delhi by road. This journey took 56 hours but successfully maintained product quality. A senior KMF official stated that this was an experimental move to ensure quality during transportation.
Competing with Established Brands
With its expansion into New Delhi, Nandini is set to compete with established dairy giants like Amul and Mother Dairy. These brands currently dominate the Delhi market. The introduction of Nandini products offers consumers more choices and adds competition to the dairy sector.
Nandini also gained prominence by sponsoring the cricket teams of Scotland and Ireland during the Cricket World Cup. This marked a first for an Indian home-grown brand and showcased Nandini's increasing influence on an international stage.
Political Discussions Surrounding Nandini
Nandini has been involved in political discussions as well. Before the state assembly elections in Karnataka, the previous BJP-led government faced criticism when Amul announced plans to sell curd in Bengaluru. Former Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai assured that Amul would not replace Nandini in Karnataka.
The assurance was given that both brands would coexist peacefully within the state. This statement aimed to calm concerns about potential market dominance shifts between these popular dairy brands.
The presence of Nandini products in New Delhi signifies its growing popularity and acceptance outside Karnataka. As it continues to expand its footprint across India and internationally, it remains a significant player in the competitive dairy industry landscape.
