Namma Metro Yellow Line Opening On August 10: PM Modi to Flag Off Bengaluru’s New Route

Prime Minister Narendra Modi will visit Bengaluru on August 10 to inaugurate the long-awaited Yellow Line Metro and lay the foundation stone for Metro Phase 3. This visit marks a major milestone in the city's public transportation development.

Namma Metro Yellow Line Details

The Yellow Line, stretching 19.15 km from RV Road to Bommasandra, features 16 stations and has been completed at a cost of Rs 5,056.99 crore. This metro line is designed to improve connectivity in southern Bengaluru, particularly benefiting daily commuters in busy localities.

Tejasvi Surya, MP from Bengaluru South, shared the update on social media, highlighting the importance of this project for the region.

Metro Phase 3: What to Expect

The Metro Phase 3 project, which recently received Cabinet approval, will span 44.65 km across the city. This ambitious phase aims to connect more areas in Bengaluru, further strengthening the city's metro network and easing urban mobility challenges.
