Namma Metro Pink Line Construction: Bannerghatta Road Closed For A Year Starting April 1

Starting April 1, vehicles will not be allowed on Bannerghatta Road from MICO Signal to Anepalya Junction for a year. This move is aimed at facilitating the construction of the south-side entry of the Lakkasandra Underground (UG) metro station on the Pink Line.

The Bangalore Metro Rail Corporation Limited (BMRCL) announced the temporary closure of this stretch to ensure the smooth progress of the metro station's construction work. The closure will affect traffic movement in the area, and commuters are advised to plan their travel accordingly.

The Lakkasandra UG metro station is part of the Pink Line of the Namma Metro project, which aims to improve connectivity in Bangalore. Once completed, the metro station will provide a convenient mode of transportation for residents and commuters in the area.

The BMRCL has assured that all necessary measures will be taken to minimize inconvenience to the public during the construction period. Alternative routes and transportation options will be made available to ensure smooth traffic flow in the area.

The closure of Bannerghatta Road from MICO Signal to Anepalya Junction is a temporary measure and is expected to be lifted after a year, once the construction work is completed. The BMRCL has requested the cooperation of the public during this period and has urged commuters to use alternative routes to avoid inconvenience.
