Namma Metro Green Line Services Connecting Nagasandra And Peenya To Be Affected On October 3
The Bangalore Metro Rail Corporation Limited (BMRCL) has announced that it will be temporarily curtailing Namma Metro train services on the Green Line on October 3 to facilitate a statutory safety inspection.
The inspection, which will be conducted by the Commissioner of Metro Railway Safety (Southern Circle), is necessary to ensure the safety of the newly constructed extension line between Nagasandra and Madavara Metro stations. As a result, Metro operations on the Green Line will be modified from 10 am to 2 pm on that day.

During this period, train services will not be available between Nagasandra and Peenya Industry Metro stations. However, trains will continue to run between Peenya Industry and Silk Institute Metro stations on the Green Line. The last train to depart from Silk Institute before the curtailment will be at 9 am, and will travel up to Nagasandra.
It's worth noting that there are no changes to the operations on the Namma metro Purple Line. The Namma metro Green Line, which connects Nagasandra in the northwest to Silk Institute in the south, is a vital transportation link for the city, serving industrial centers, central hubs, and residential areas.
The Namma metro Green Line is mostly elevated, with 26 elevated and 3 underground stations. Once Phase II is complete, the line will extend from Madavara in the northwest to Silk Institute in the south.
