Namma Metro: Airport Line Delays Expected Near Yelahanka for Aero India 2025
Aero India 2025 will be held at Yelahanka Air Force Station from February 10 to 14. To make space for aircraft parking, the Indian Air Force (IAF) has asked Bengaluru Metro Rail Corporation (BMRCL) to stop construction on the Nama metro Airport Line from February 5 to 15. Work will start again on February 16.
The 37 km Namma metro Airport Line, connecting KR Pura to Kempegowda International Airport (KIA), is divided into three sections. The last 15.01 km near Yelahanka is affected due to ongoing construction.

his section includes a 750-meter underground tunnel built using the "cut-and-cover" method since flight paths restrict certain construction techniques.
So far, 70% of civil work in this area is complete. Two kilometers of tracks have been laid from the airport side. Doddajala station is under construction, and there are plans to add two more stations-Bettahalasur and Chikkajala-in the future.
