Model Accuses Delivery Boy Of Sexual Harassment In Bengaluru, Raises Women's Safety Concerns

A model in Bengaluru has accused a food delivery worker of sexual harassment. The incident, which occurred in RT Nagar, was captured on CCTV. The police have arrested the accused and are investigating the matter. This event has raised concerns about women's safety in the city.

The model, originally from Brazil, lives with friends in an apartment in RT Nagar. She had ordered food online, and when the delivery boy arrived, he allegedly harassed her. The accused is identified as Kumar Rao, a student at a private college who works part-time as a delivery boy.

Accusations Against Delivery Boy

The delivery is accused of inappropriate touching during the food delivery. Additionally, he allegedly stole Rs 25,000 in cash and mobile phones from the house before fleeing. The manager of the company where the victim works reported the incident to the RT Nagar police station.

Based on the complaint, police have registered a case under sections 75(1) (sexual harassment) and 76 (criminal force against women) of the Indian Penal Code. Kumar Rao was promptly arrested by RT Nagar police and presented in court, where he was remanded to judicial custody.

A police officer stated, "We have registered a case based on the complaint and arrested the accused. The investigation is ongoing." CCTV footage and other evidence reportedly support the allegations against Kumar Rao.
