Maharashtra Influencer Alleges Police Stopped Bikini Shoot At Padukere Beach

According to the influencer Khyati Shree, the police officers refused to let her continue filming because she was "indecently" dressed. The incident allegedly took place on Thursday evening.

However, Malpe police told PTI that they have "no record" of such an incident and no officers were deployed to stop any photo shoot.

Khyati Shree, the influencer, explained in her reel that she had come to Malpe Beach to film an Instagram reel. While her husband was recording her in a bikini, two policemen approached them, citing objections from onlookers regarding her attire.

She added that they left the beach shortly after, feeling unsafe as the argument had attracted a crowd of people who began gathering around them.

What did the young woman say on Insta?

"We had a bitter experience at Udupi Beach while doing a photo shoot. The police suggested I change my clothes, and when I questioned why, they warned that locals might attack us if we 'misbehave.' Who are the locals to conduct moral policing? The beach is a public space-what's wrong with a photo shoot? Is a bikini photoshoot against the law?" Khyati Shree questioned the Udupi police on social media.

Within hours of posting the video on her Instagram page, Khyati Shree's reel garnered over 1 million views, about 50,000 likes, and more than 2,000 comments expressing support and appreciation.
