Loud Noise Rattles Bengaluru: Was It Thunderstorm or Something Else?
Residents across south and East Bengaluru were awake on Sunday by a loud " firecrackers-like" sound that rang out between 4.30 am to 5:30 a.m. The unexplained noise was reported in several neighborhoods, including Banashankari, Richards Town.

Many startled residents quickly took to social media to express their confusion and share their experiences. On Reddit, a post titled "How are you all sleeping rn? The thunderstorm is violent af this morning. I can't get any sleep whatsoever. I also have an expensive antenna (amateur radio one) begging to take the hit from the lightnings" rapidly gained traction as users weighed in with their own accounts of the event.
