This development followed an incident where the security officer discharged a firearm into the air during a confrontation. The episode, which occurred on a Friday, was promptly reported to the Kodigehalli police station by a person named Tejas, prompting law enforcement to take action.

A significant detail emerged concerning the legality of the firearm discharge; it was revealed that Jagadish was authorised to use the firearm only within the boundaries of Uttar Pradesh, yet the incident took place in Karnataka. This discrepancy played a crucial role in the police's decision to detain him. Additionally, there have been claims of physical assault against the complainant, further complicating the situation.

Lawyer Jagadeesh was allegedly attacked near his home in Kodigehalli, Bengaluru. The assault, which left him injured and bleeding, is believed to be linked to a prior altercation that took place the previous day.

Jagadish's involvement in disputes extends beyond this incident. He has previously been embroiled in controversy over the installation of Annamamma Devi, leading to public altercations. Owning a complex in Kodigehalli, Bangalore, Jagadish had raised questions regarding the placement of Annamamma Devi on the same road, which had previously led to attempts on his safety. His outspoken response to these events had agitated fans of the actor Darshan.

In a statement that has sparked reactions, Jagadish pointedly criticized Darshan's supporters, saying, "This is what Darshan's fans did. When you come to me, come with insurance."

This remark came in the wake of an aggressive attack on his vehicle on the night of January 24, where assailants with sticks smashed his car and assaulted him

. During this confrontation, it is reported that Jagadish's security officer fired shots into the air, adding to the series of events leading to their arrest.
