Lalbagh Flower Show Republic Day 2025: Special Namma Metro Arrangements Announced

Bangalore Metro Rail Corporation Limited (BMRCL) has announced on Friday special arrangements for Namma Metro commuters in light of the Republic Day celebrations and the popular Lalbagh Flower Show 2025.

Taking to X (formerly Twitter), BMRCL shared that metro services will start early and include additional trips to ensure a smooth commute for the public.

Bengaluru Metro: Early Start and Additional Trips

On Sunday, January 26, 2025, Namma Metro services will begin operations at 6:00 AM from all four terminal stations, as well as from Nadaprabhu Kempegowda Station, Majestic. This marks an early start, compared to the usual 7:00 AM schedule.

To cater to increased demand, BMRCL will operate 20 additional trips each on the Green and Purple Lines. These extra services aim to facilitate the movement of commuters attending the Lalbagh Flower Show and the special Republic Day event at the Bangalore International Exhibition Centre (BIEC), Madavara.

Special Paper Tickets at Lalbagh Metro Station

For the convenience of passengers visiting the flower show, BMRCL will issue flat-rate paper tickets priced at Rs. 30 at Lalbagh Metro Station. These tickets will be available between 10:00 AM and 8:00 PM and can be purchased with cash. The paper tickets will allow commuters to travel to any metro station on the same day.

During this period, tokens will not be issued at Lalbagh Metro Station. However, commuters can still use other options, including Contactless Smart Cards (CSC), National Common Mobility Cards (NCMC), and QR tickets, for their journey to and from Lalbagh.

BMRCL has urged the public to make use of these arrangements for a seamless and enjoyable commute. The special services and ticketing system are designed to reduce crowding and ensure quick movement of passengers.

With these measures in place, Namma Metro patrons can look forward to a hassle-free travel experience on Republic Day while enjoying the beauty of the Lalbagh Flower Show 2025.
