Katrina Kaif Offers Prayers At Kukke Subramanya Temple In Dakshina Kannada

Bollywood actress Katrina Kaif visited the renowned Kukke Subrahmanya Temple in Karnataka's Dakshina Kannada district on Tuesday, drawing attention as she participated in the sacred Sarpa Samskara ritual.

Dressed modestly in a traditional outfit, Katrina was seen wearing a mask and covering her head with a dupatta while offering prayers and engaging in the temple's rituals.

The Kukke Subrahmanya Temple is a 5,000-year-old pilgrimage site dedicated to Lord Subrahmanya, where devotees perform rituals to remove naga dosha (serpent-related afflictions) believed to cause obstacles in marriage and childbirth.

Katrina's visit follows a trend of Bollywood celebrities exploring the spiritual and cultural heritage of Karnataka. Last week, actress and Member of Parliament Kangana Ranaut visited several temples in Udupi and Dakshina Kannada, including the Kapu Mariamma Temple and the Kateelu Sridurgaparameshwari Temple.

Last month, Katrina took a holy dip at the Triveni Sangam during the Maha Kumbh Mela in Prayagraj, accompanied by her mother-in-law, Veena Kaushal. The actress immersed herself in the sacred rituals and even had a heartfelt conversation with Swami Chidanand Saraswati, president of Parmarth Niketan Ashram, and Sadhvi Bhagawati Saraswati.

Speaking to ANI during her visit to Prayagraj, Katrina expressed her gratitude for being part of the revered event. "I am very fortunate that I could come here this time. I am really happy and grateful. I met Swami Chidanand Saraswati and took his blessings. I am just starting my experience here. I like the energy, beauty, and significance of everything. I am looking forward to spending the whole day here," she said.

Katrina's visit to the Kukke Subrahmanya Temple has sparked curiosity among fans and devotees alike. Photos of her offering prayers at the temple have gone viral on social media.

The actress is expected to complete the special rituals on Wednesday, after which she will fly to Mumbai. It is unclear whether she will visit other popular temples in Dakshina Kannada.

In July 2024, Katrina had visited the Koragajja temple in Mangaluru. She was accompanied by cricketer KL Rahul and members of Bollywood actor Suniel Shetty.
