Karnataka Weather: Rain Alert For Bengaluru Soon? Check Latest Forecast

Dry Weather Continues Across Karnataka, Possibility of Thundershowers in Belgaum and Chamarajanagar

Rainfall has reduced across Karnataka, with dry weather prevailing in most parts of the state. However, the Indian Meteorological Department has issued a forecast indicating the possibility of thundershowers in Belgaum and Chamarajanagar districts on Friday. The rest of the state is expected to experience dry air conditions according to the Karnataka Weather Forecast.

Is Rain Coming to Bengaluru Soon

Bengaluru rains forecast:

There's good news for Bengaluru residents who might be yearning for some respite from the summer heat. Multiple weather models are converging on the possibility of rain showers arriving in the India's Silicon Valley and surrounding areas in early May.

Meteorological models from European Centre for Medium-Range Weather Forecasts (ECMWF), Access, GFS, and CFS indicate the development of convergence in and around Bengaluru starting May 1st. ECMWF predicts rain on May 3rd, while GFS forecasts rain from May 1st and consistently thereafter from the 6th. Another weather model CFS also predicts rain on May 3rd.

While these model predictions offer a glimpse into weather patterns, it's important to remember that weather forecasting, especially for long-range periods, involves inherent uncertainties. Factors like sudden shifts in atmospheric patterns or localised weather events can alter the actual outcome. So, it's important to exercise caution and adopt a "wait and watch" approach regarding the forecasted rainfall.

Temperature Warning: Heat Wave Expected in Coastal Karnataka

The interior parts of Karnataka are likely to experience a rise in temperatures, with the maximum temperature expected to be 2-3 degrees above normal. Coastal Karnataka, on the other hand, is expected to face a heat wave in isolated areas on the 26th of April. Hot and humid weather conditions are expected to persist over coastal Karnataka until the 28th.

Yellow Alert Issued for Several Districts

The IMD has issued a yellow alert for the districts of Tumkur, Mandya, Davangere, Chitradurga, Bellary, Yadgiri, Vijayapur, Raichur, Koppal, Kalaburagi, Gadag, and Bagalkote. These districts are expected to experience high-intensity sunshine, prompting authorities to advise precautionary measures to avoid heat-related issues.
