Karnataka Weather Alert: No Rain Expected In Bengaluru Until April 19, Says IMD
Bengaluru's dry spell is set to persist for nearly another week, as per the latest forecast from the India Meteorological Department (IMD) Bengaluru, ruling out any rain until April 19.
The weather may be slightly cloudy on Sunday, but there is no expectation of rainfall. Dry weather is predicted to continue in the city from Monday onwards.

IMD scientists anticipate some rainfall after April 20, depending on the position of the trough and wind convergence. Currently, there is no wind convergence, and the trough's position is unfavorable for Bengaluru.
Despite the absence of rain, temperatures have dropped in the city over the last two days. On April 6, Bengaluru recorded its highest temperature in eight years at 37.6 degrees Celsius. Since then, there has been a gradual reduction, with the city recording 34.6 degrees Celsius on April 13. However, this remains above the normal average temperature for April in Bengaluru, which is 34 degrees Celsius.
IMD had initially predicted light to moderate rain by April 10, which was later revised to April 14. However, given the unfavorable weather conditions, scientists now speculate that the city may receive only one spell of rain this month, with the possibility of two or three spells being very low. Bengaluru typically receives 14.7 mm of rainfall in March and 61.7 mm in April. However, this year, March was completely dry, and April may see only 10-20 mm of rainfall, well below the average.
