The Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) has forecast heavy rainfall in Bengaluru for the next five days, beginning today. With the monsoon already having entered Kerala, it is expected to advance into Karnataka soon, offering a much-needed respite from the summer heat.
Currently, surface vorticity is noted in the southeastern part of the Arabian Sea, aiding the monsoon's progression. Consequently, the weather department has issued an alert for Dakshina Kannada, North Interior Karnataka, and coastal regions, predicting substantial rainfall along with potential thunderstorms and lightning.
