Karnataka Weather: 10 Bengaluru-Bound Flights Diverted To Chennai Due To Heavy Rain
Due to intense rainfall in Bengaluru, at least ten flights have been rerouted to Chennai, according to airport officials. IndiGo mentioned on X that the adverse weather is affecting flight schedules. Flight Disruptions and Traffic Congestion
Air India also reported disruptions in flight operations due to the adverse weather, leading to air traffic congestion in Bengaluru. The airline advised passengers to verify their flight status before heading to the airport. "We advise all our passengers to check their flight status before proceeding to the airport," Air India posted on X.
The Bengaluru traffic police issued an alert about severe traffic congestion towards the International Airport due to waterlogging at Hunsmaranahalli. "Due to heavy waterlogging at Hunsmaranahalli, there is severe traffic congestion, affecting the traffic towards the International Airport," they stated.

Residents shared on social media that several roads in Bengaluru are flooded, causing significant traffic jams in busy areas. This situation is not uncommon as Bengaluru often faces prolonged traffic delays, which worsen during heavy rains.
