Karnataka: Muslim Girl Stopped From Boarding Govt Bus For Not Wearing Burqa
A Muslim girl in Karnataka was stopped from boarding a government in Karnataka. The reason is she was not wearing a burqa, Times Now reported.
The moral-policing incident occurred in Kalaburagi when the girl try to board the KSRTC (Karnataka State Road Transport Corporation). The conductor asked the girl whether she was a Muslim girl. On saying 'yes', he refused to get on the bus as she was not wearing a burqa.

"Are you Muslim? And why are you not wearing burqa?" he asked the girl, as per the report. The incident was caught on camera and the clip has gone viral.
However, a teacher came to the girl's rescue and had a heated argument with the conductor for refusing to allow the minor girl to board the bus.
The incident, which occurred in Kamalapura Bus stand in Kalaburagi, was caught on camera and the clip has gone viral. Despite the teacher's intervention, the bus conductor did not allow the girl to board the bus.

A Muslim Girl Says "They asked are you a Muslim? I said Yes, then they asked my name, I said my name and then they said if you dont wear Burqa you cant get on the bus".

"They asked me if I'm a Muslim, and further asked my name which I refused to disclose. They told me that I'm a Muslim and I should wear a burqa. Further shouted that I cannot board the bus." the student who was not allowed to get into the bus, said.
While the students were on their way back to their village in Basavakalyan, the bus conductor acted inappropriately towards one of the girls.
The students were heading to their village in Basavakalyan. An FIR has been filed in the incident and KsRTc has initiated an enquiry into the issue.
