Karnataka chief minister felicitates Bharat Ratna Prof CNR Rao

Bangalore, June 18:

Chief Minister Siddaramaiah on Wednesday feleicitated

awardee and eminent scientist Professor CNR Rao at the Banquet Hall of the Vidhana Soudha. Professor Rao was felicitated on being awarded the highest civilian honour of the nation, along with former national cricketer Sachin Tendulkar, earlier this year.

Other senior scientists and ministers were present at the felicitation ceremony. The announcement about the felicitation was made by state Information Minister Roshan baig on Tuesday.

A photo exhibition on the life and achievements of the 79-year-old Bharat Ratna awardee was also organised outside the Banquet Hall. A book and CD on his life were also released.
