I'm His Only Wife: Darshan's Wife Vijayalakshmi Sets The Record Straight

Darshan has been implicated as the second accused in the brutal murder case of Renuka Swamy and has been sent to Parappana Agrahara Jail. Meanwhile, his close friend, Pavithra Gowda, the prime accused, is under judicial custody. In the midst of this, Darshan's wife, Vijayalakshmi has written a letter to Police Commissioner Dayanand stating, "I am Darshan's only wife."

After Darshan and the other accused were arrested in the Renuka Swamy murder case, Bengaluru City Police Commissioner B Dayananda held a press meet to inform the media. During this time, the Police Commissioner referred to Pavithra Gowda as "Darshan's wife." To clarify this matter, Vijayalakshmi wrote a letter to the Police Commissioner. "I am Darshan's only wife. Pavithra Gowda is just a friend," Vijayalakshmi stated in the letter. She also requested the Police Commissioner to ensure that accurate information is recorded in official documents.

Respected Sir,

It has been two weeks since your department arrested my husband, Darshan, and others in the Renuka Swamy murder case. I have complete faith in our judicial system. I believe the law will take its course. However, I request you to ensure that the accurate information about Mrs. Pavitra Gowda, the mastermind and prime accused (A-1) in this murder case, is recorded in the documents.

Greetings! It's been close to two weeks since your department arrested my husband Darshan and some others in the Renukaswamy murder case. While I have full faith in our Judiciary, I believe that Law will take its own course. However, I urge you to set the records straight as regards Smt. Pavitra Gowda who is the A-1 & the mastermind in the said case. It is true that she is a friend of my husband, Sri Darshan Srinivas, but you may kindly note that she is not his wife. I am the only legally wedded wife, our marriage solemnised in Dharmasthala on 19.05.2003

You, while addressing the media initially wrongly addressed Smt. Pavitra Gowda as Darshan Srinivas's wife which was furthered by all, including the Honourable Home Minister of Karnataka as well as national media who continued to publish news of the arrest of Mr & Mrs Darshan Srinivas in the Renukaswamy murder case. I being his only legally wedded wife & our son Vinish Darshan shouldn't, as a result be at the receiving end of any trouble or confusion in future. Smt. Pavitra was allegedly married to a Sri. Sanjay Singh & has a daughter through him. Hence I urge you to once for all set the records straight in the Police files so that I do not face any kind of trouble, legal or otherwise due to her wrongfully being named as wife.
