How To Get Your Final e-Khata Easily? Step-By-Step Guide On How BBMP’s New Service Works

Bengaluru's civic body, Bruhat Bengaluru Mahanagara Palike (BBMP), has rolled out e-khata services at all BangaloreOne centres to simplify access to property records for residents. Here's everything you need to know about the new initiative:

Final E-Khata how to apply

Affordable and Accessible Services:

  • E-khata services are now available at all BangaloreOne centres across Bengaluru, providing a more convenient option for citizens, as reported by the Deccan Herald.
  • The service fee is just ₹45, a significant reduction compared to private cyber centres that can charge up to ₹5,000.

BBMP Chief Commissioner Tushar Girinath addressed the issue, stating, "We received numerous complaints from citizens about private cyber centres charging up to ₹5,000 for e-khata services. Now, these services are available at BangaloreOne centres for just ₹45."

Simple Process for Document Upload and E-Khata Copy:

  • Citizens can upload their documents and complete the application process for the final e-khata copy at any BangaloreOne centre.
  • A trained team is available at these centres to assist those who may not be digitally savvy, ensuring an easy and accessible process for everyone.

Online Access to Draft Copies:

  • Draft copies of e-khatas for approximately 22 lakh properties can be accessed online via the BBMP website.
  • Residents can view and verify their e-khata details from the comfort of their homes, without the need to visit the BBMP revenue department.

User-Friendly Complaint Process:

  • For issues with e-khata applications, citizens can submit a one-page complaint form at the BangaloreOne help desk. The simplified form includes key details about the applicant and property, enabling quicker processing and support.

No Extension for Property Tax Scheme:

  • The BBMP's One-Time Settlement (OTS) scheme, which offers relief to property tax defaulters, will conclude on November 30. There are no plans to extend the deadline.
  • The scheme provides significant savings, such as paying ₹25,000 instead of ₹63,000 in overdue property taxes. BBMP is actively campaigning to raise awareness among commercial property owners about the benefits before the deadline.

As Girinath mentioned, "We are conducting drives to seal commercial establishments to ensure property owners are aware of the immediate benefits of settling their dues."
