History-Sheeter Hacked To Death In Bengaluru: FIR Filed Against Ex-Minister and 4 Others

An FIR has been filed against five individuals, including BJP MLA Byrati Basavaraj, in connection with the brutal murder of rowdy-sheeter Biklu Shiva. The complaint was lodged by Biklu Shiva's mother, Vijayalakshmi, at Bharathi Nagar Police Station in Bengaluru. The accused include Jagadish, Vimal, Kiran, Anil, and Byrati Basavaraj. Allegations have surfaced that Basavaraj supported the murder.

Basavaraj expressed his discontent over being named in the case. He questioned whether any information was sought from him before filing the FIR. "I am deeply upset that my name has been dragged into this matter," he said. He suggested that political motives might be behind these accusations and stated his intention to fight legally.

Allegations and Denials

In a statement to TV9, Byrati Basavaraj denied any involvement in the murder of Biklu Shiva. "I have no connection with the murder case or any information about the deceased," he asserted. He claimed that a case was suddenly registered against him right after the complaint was filed.

The incident occurred on a Tuesday night around 8:30 PM when Biklu Shiva stepped out of his house and stood on a footpath. At this moment, 7 to 8 assailants waiting nearby in a Scorpio car attacked him. They surrounded him to prevent escape and assaulted him with deadly weapons between parked cars, leading to his death on the spot.

Background Dispute

A land dispute had previously caused friction between Biklu Shiva and associates of MLA Byrati Basavaraj. A video captured by Shivaprakash's group showed Biklu Shiva threatening to cancel a GPA for Survey No. 212 near Kittaganahalli belonging to Singareddy.

Earlier, Biklu Shiva had lodged a complaint with Bengaluru City Police Commissioner against MLA Byrati Basavaraj and associates Jagadish alias Jagga and Kiran. An FIR was also registered at Bharathi Nagar Police Station regarding this issue.

Just four months after filing this complaint, Biklu Shiva was murdered. Police suspect involvement from the same gang mentioned in his earlier complaint.

The police are investigating whether political motives are involved in this case as they continue their probe into the murder of Biklu Shiva.
