e-Khata Alert: Bengaluru Property Owners Told to Apply Without Delay, to Receive Documents Door-to-Door

The e-Khata initiative has begun in Bengaluru, with Deputy Chief Minister D.K. Shivakumar distributing e-Khatas door-to-door. This campaign aims to protect property owners from fraud as the real estate sector grows. The government, in collaboration with BBMP and the Revenue Department, is conducting this drive throughout July. The state Congress government promises e-Khata under the slogan 'Your Property, Your Right'.

Property owners within BBMP's jurisdiction can apply for e-Khata online at the official website or by calling a designated number. D.K. Shivakumar emphasized that citizens should secure their properties and complete building processes by obtaining an e-Khata. He shared videos of property owners who have already received their e-Khatas.

Ensuring Transparency and Speed

The mega e-Khata drive allows citizens to acquire their property documents quickly and transparently. D.K. Shivakumar stated that digital records can be obtained without delay, enhancing the process's speed. He previously mentioned that this initiative is part of their sixth guarantee.

In BBMP's area, there are 25 lakh draft e-Khatas available for distribution. To facilitate this, the government has organized door-to-door distributions and awareness programs. So far, 5.5 lakh e-Khatas have been distributed to property owners.

Multiple Application Channels

To make it convenient for people, BBMP offers various application methods such as online submissions, public servants' assistance, and phone services. These efforts aim to ensure that all property owners can access their digital records efficiently.

D.K. Shivakumar urged everyone to obtain an e-Khata without fail to safeguard their assets against fraud and streamline other building-related procedures.

This initiative reflects the government's commitment to protecting citizens' rights over their properties while ensuring transparency in real estate transactions.
