Darshan-Pavithra Gowda Finally Get Regular Bail In Renuka Swamy Murder Case

Darshan and Pavithra Gowda have been granted by the Karnataka High Court on Friday.

Apart from these two, five others (Nagaraju, Anu Kumar, Lakshman, Jagadeesh alias Jagga, and R Pradoosh Rao) have got bail. They are expected to come out of jail on Monday, December 16.

Darshan, Pavithra Gowda, and 15 others are accused of involvement in the murder of Renuka Swamy. As per the chargesheet, the victim was allegedly kidnapped by Darshan's associates due to his lewd messages directed at Gowda. Following the abduction, he was taken to Bengaluru, confined in a shed in Kamakshi Palya, and subjected to a brutal assault, ultimately leading to his death.

Darshan and Pavithra were arrested by Bengaluru police on June 11.

However, actor Darshan, who is currently out on bail on medical grounds, has decided to proceed with a long-delayed surgery. Initially hesitant due to concerns over the surgery's outcome and fears of post-operative pain, Darshan had postponed the procedure multiple times, citing fluctuations in his blood pressure.

Kannada actor Darshan got interim bail on medical grounds on October 30. The Karnataka High Court, while granting six-week bail, had clearly stated that Darshan should get admitted to the hospital soon and he should provide health updates to the court. He has also been asked to inform the date of his surgery to the court along with the proposed and follow-up treatment within one week after getting bail, The Indian Express reported.

Though hospitalised, Darshan has not undergone surgery yet. As per the reports in the Kannada media, he is unlikely to undergo surgery and he would undergo physiotherapy.
