Darshan’s Confession In Charge Sheet: I Gave Vinay Rs 10 Lakh, Asked Pavithra to Beat Renuka Swamy....

Kannada Actor Darshan Thoogudeepa's statement to the Bengaluru police has shed light on the events leading up to the death of Renuka Swamy, who was accused of sending obscene messages to actress Pavithra Gowda from Chitradurga. The charge sheet filed by investigators reveals a chilling account of the events leading up to Renukaswamy's death. Acting on Darshan's orders, his accomplices abducted Renukaswamy and took him to a secluded shed in Pattanagere.

According to Darshan's voluntary statement, Renuka Swamy was brought to Bengaluru and assaulted by multiple individuals, including Darshan himself.

In his testimony, Darshan admitted to physically assaulting Renuka Swamy. "I hit him hard with my hand and kicked his head. I then called Pavithra Gowda and asked her to beat him with her slipper. After that, I instructed him to apologise to Pavithra by falling at her feet, which he did," Darshan stated. He further revealed that he had asked Pradosh to drop Renuka Swamy near the car and Vinay to drop Pavithra home.

Darshan's statement also implicated several others in the assault. He noted that his driver Lakshman had also joined in, hitting Renuka Swamy on the neck and back. Another individual, Nandish, allegedly lifted Swamy and forcefully threw him down in front of Darshan. "Pawan questioned Renuka Swamy about the lewd messages, took his phone, and read out the messages he had sent. He also showed everyone the photos and messages that Renuka Swamy had sent to several actresses," Darshan detailed.

The 3,991-page charge sheet reveals that Renuka Swamy sent messages saying, "You are hot. Hi, please send your number. Would you consider being in a secret live-in relationship with me? I will pay you Rs 10,000 per month."

Darshan admitted to further verbal and physical abuse of Renuka Swamy before leaving the scene with Vinay. He recounted meeting Jayanna briefly on the way and heading straight to his house in Ideal Homes. "Around 7:30 pm, Pradosh returned and informed me that Renuka Swamy had died. I told him I would handle it and left," Darshan's statement read.

According to Darshan, after being informed of Renuka Swamy's death by Nagaraj and Lakshman, Pradosh demanded Rs. 30 lakh, claiming he would manage the situation. Darshan confessed to providing him the money from his house. Vinay also requested Rs. 10 lakh related to the incident, which Darshan provided.

Darshan's statement has positioned him as Accused No. 2 in this case, with further investigations underway to uncover the full extent of the events leading to Renuka Swamy's death.

Meanwhile, Darshan has filed a writ petition in the High Court seeking an order to prevent media outlets from broadcasting or publishing any information from the charge sheet. The 47-year-old actor was transferred to Ballari jail after a photo of him with three others on the lawns of the Parappana Agrahara Central Prison went viral.
