COVID-19 Spreads Across Karnataka: Recent Cases Reported In Ramanagara, Chikkamagaluru And Uttara Kannada

The number of COVID-19 cases in Karnataka has been on the rise in recent days, with new cases reported in Ramanagara, Chikkamagalur, and Uttara Kannada districts.

In Ramanagara, a 21-year-old woman tested positive for the virus and is being isolated in the district hospital's COVID ward. Her mother, who was in contact with her, has also been tested for the virus.

In Chikkamagaluru, two individuals tested positive for COVID-19 after tests conducted yesterday. Samples from these individuals have been sent for further testing.

In Uttara Kannada district, a COVID case was reported on December 10 involving an individual who had returned from Goa for work. The District Health Officer (DHO) has assured that the person is recovering well and that there is no need for fear in the district. However, he emphasized that restrictions might be enforced if the virus severity escalates.

The District Health Officer also advised tourists visiting Uttara Kannada district to avoid worrying about COVID but suggested that individuals with heart and asthma issues should avoid visiting. The district health department is prepared to manage COVID cases and is considering precautionary measures at the Goa border due to the rising number of cases.

The rise in COVID-19 cases in Karnataka is a cause for concern, but the state health department has assured that it is prepared to handle the situation. The department has urged people to follow safety protocols, including wearing masks and maintaining social distancing.
