Byrathi Suresh’s Alleged Threat to Facebook User Goes Viral; Denies Claims, Blames Hacking

Minister for Urban Development and Town Planning, Byrathi Suresh, is in hot water again after alleged screenshots surfaced showing him using abusive language and making threats toward a Facebook user. These images, which reportedly capture the minister's aggressive response to a comment on his post, have been shared widely on social media.

What Led to the Controversy?

With the ongoing summer heat, water shortages have affected several areas of Bengaluru, including Hebbal, which falls under Minister Byrathi Suresh's constituency. To address the issue, water tankers have been deployed, and the minister himself was seen driving one in a video shared on his official Facebook page.

However, the post soon attracted criticism. In response to this post, a user named Karthik commented, "This is all a drama, people are fools." Upset by this remark, the minister's official account allegedly replied, "Give me your address, I will beat you up. If you are born to your father, give me your address..."

These comments quickly went viral, leading to intense discussions online. However, as the screenshots circulated, the remarks were reportedly removed from the minister's Facebook page.

As the backlash grew, Minister Suresh claimed that his Facebook account had been hacked. He stated, "My account has been compromised. I have made it clear through social media that no one should be offended by such messages."

However, this explanation did not go well with netizens, who questioned the authenticity of the hacking claim. "How can you still post if your account is hacked?" asked one user, while others accused the minister of using the hacking excuse to cover up his actions.

Minister Byrathi Suresh had earlier shared a video of himself distributing water in his constituency on March 15, writing, "Like every year, this year too, water tankers were launched to supply free water to the people of all the wards of my constituency before the water problem started."
