Brawl Between BJP, JDS Workers Hints At "Everything Is Not Ok" Between Alliance Partners In Karnataka
Ahead of the Lok Sabha elections 2024, the Bharatiya Janaya Party (BJP) is joining hands with almost every regional front that they think can help it in achieving its target of 400 plus seats. For Karnataka, the BJP top brass made an alliance with the Janta Dal (Secular), but everything on the ground doesn't look fine at ground level. Recently, BJP and JDS called for a joint meeting to churn over the roadmap for upcoming elections at Karnataka's Tumakuru.
But the meeting was marred by a clash between party workers of both sides.

According to the reports, the scuffle started when JDS MLA MT Krishnappa pointed a finger at BJP leader Kondajji Vishwanath alleging that because of him Krishnappa lost the MP's elections in 2019.
Notably, Kondajji Vishwanath switched sides from BJP to JDS in the last elections.
However, most of the JDS workers claimed that Krishnappa's statement was true and Vishwanath ditched the party.
Though the brawl was sorted after the intervention of senior leaders, it was clear that everything is not okay between the BJP and JDS alliance and nobody is ready to end their ideological differences to compete against Congress.
The saffron front has promised to give three seats to JDS- Hassan, Mandya, and Kolar.
This time, former Prime Minister HD Devegowda's son-in-law Dr Manjunath will contest on BJP's ticket from the Bengaluru Rural constituency against Congress veteran DK Suresh, brother of Karnataka Deputy Chief Minister DK Shivakumar.
