Bengaluru's Viral Traffic Signboard: 'Follow Someone Home' But Here's The Quirky Twist

The attention of netizens was drawn to a traffic signboard in Bengaluru, which has gained viral attention due to its quirky approach to delivering a message on road safety.

Shared on X, formerly known as Twitter by user Sumukh Rao, the signboard has garnered numerous comments, with some users making light-hearted remarks while others criticizing the concept.

Rao, in his post, expressed disbelief at the decision to install such a signboard, noting the difficulty in comprehending the message while driving past, particularly due to the disparity in font sizes. He specified that he came across the board near the Cubbon Park area.

Upon initial observation, the prominently displayed, large letters on the signboard convey the message "Follow Someone Home". However, upon closer inspection, the intended message becomes apparent. Text in a smaller font, positioned beneath each bolded word, completes the message: "Follow traffic rules... someone is waiting at home for you," as depicted on the signboard.

Since being shared on February 25, the X post has garnered almost 13,000 likes and received several comments. Many reactions to this signboard have been shared by X users. While some jokes were cracked about it, dislike for it was also expressed by some.

"Memeworthy material," was reacted by an individual. To this, Rao was replied to by saying, "It's to entertain bored drivers." "Follow Someone Home. Very nice and safe city," was replied sarcastically by another. "Authorities and their script writers completely out of sync in terms of requirements and functionality," was added by a third.

This isn't the first time a quirky signboard from Bengaluru has gone viral. Earlier, unique 'no parking' signs in Bengaluru's posh Koramangala neighbourhood also went viral. Instead of the simple "no parking" message, the signs read "don't even think of parking here" and "no parking... not for 10 minutes, not for 5 minutes, not at all!"
