Bengaluru Women Molested In Park Within Minutes; Accused Told Victim: 'Telling Anyone Won’t Make A Difference'

A shocking case of sexual assault in public place has once again raised serious concerns about women's safety in Bengaluru.

A man allegedly forced himself on two women in separate incidents near Milton Park in Cooke Town.

The alleged assaults occurred on the evening of 6 June, at around 7pm.

According to reports, the first woman was out walking with her family when the man approached her and acted inappropriately.

Mere minutes later, he is said to have entered the park and forcibly hugged and kissed another woman on the lips. Both incidents are believed to have taken place within a short span of time.

When one of the women confronted the man, he reportedly retorted, "Telling anyone won't make a difference," before fleeing the scene.

An initial information report (FIR) has been filed at the Pulakeshinagar Police Station under Sections 74 and 75 of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS), and a further investigation is currently underway.

Sections 74 and 75 of the BNS pertain to assault or use of criminal force against a woman with the intention of outraging her modesty, and to sexual harassment, respectively.

In a similar case, a man was captured on CCTV molesting a woman in Bengaluru's BTM Layout on 3 April at approximately 1:55am.

The footage shows the man following two women from behind before suddenly lunging forward, groping one of them, and fleeing the scene.

The two women, clearly startled by the incident, are then seen walking away from the area.
