Bengaluru: Woman dragged into car, gangraped by 4 men in Koramangala

In yet another horrific incident, a woman was allegedly gang-raped by four men in a moving car in Bengaluru's Koramangala.

According to reports, the incident took place on March 25 when a young woman was sitting at the park of a luxury apartment complex with her male friend, and was forcibly dragged into a car and gang-raped. The case has been reported in the Koramangala police station limits. The accused persons threatened her male friend and dragged the victim into the car.

The victim informed the police that she was gang-raped in the moving car. The police said that the accused drove the car to Domlur, Indiranagar, Anekal and Nice Road and committed the crime throughout the night.

According to TV9 Kannada, the accused took turns and allegedly raped her even as the car was moving. It is said that the accused drove the car with the registration number KA01 MB 6169.

The accused then left her near her residence in the early hours of March 26. After reaching home at 4 a.m, the victim was taken to a hospital, and later lodged a complaint with the police.

The police have arrested a gang of four persons in connection with the case.

Speaking to reporters, CK Baba, Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP), Bengaluru South-East, said that all the four accused - Sathish, Vijay, Sridhar and Kiran - were arrested.
