Bengaluru Woman Alleges Hidden Camera Secretly Filmed Her Inside Restroom Of Popular Koramangala Restaurant

A woman in Bengaluru has alleged that she was filmed inside the restroom of a popular eatery in Koramangala. She said that a hidden mobile phone was found inside the women's restroom of Anand Sweets & Savouries.

According to Hindustan Times, the incident is said to have taken place around 8 pm on April 25.

In a detailed post shared on Instagram, she recounted becoming suspicious after noticing that the wall opposite the toilet was not solid but featured a fibreglass panel above and wooden slats at eye level.

While using the toilet, she crouched to inspect the slats and noticed a mobile phone positioned on the other side. She claimed the device moved, suggesting she was being filmed.

Disturbed by the discovery, she informed a friend and confronted staff. Although the management was initially hesitant, she insisted on reviewing CCTV footage.

According to her, the footage showed a security guard entering a restricted construction zone, while a different employee was later seen exiting via the rear door. The police were called, and by 9.10 pm, the suspect was taken into custody, the woman said.

She alleged that the individual at first denied involvement but later confessed after hours of interrogation, claiming to have deleted the footage and pleading for forgiveness due to personal hardship.

The woman said she stood her ground, despite pressure from staff and others, and proceeded to file an FIR.

She further claimed that between 10 pm and 2.30 am, several employees and representatives from Anand Sweets attempted to dissuade her from taking legal action. Her attempts to contact senior company officials were initially deflected.

A meeting reportedly took place two days later, on the Sunday, during which the regional director allegedly downplayed her ordeal and shifted responsibility onto a third-party agency that had employed the accused.

She claimed the director said the FIR was only lodged because he had "instructed the police" to do so. She also alleged he blocked the exit when she attempted to leave and that her friend was restrained in an effort to pacify her.

The following day, she claimed she received a call from the Internal Complaints Committee of Adityavani, requesting a meeting at the same outlet, which she declined due to ongoing panic attacks and emotional trauma.

She concluded her post by urging women to remain vigilant and not allow such incidents to be dismissed due to societal or systemic pressure.
